Week 14 April 11, 2016

Just Another Week in Brazil

Hey Everyone!! This week was a good one! 

I hope everyone of you had a good week too!!!

This week we taught alot, and finally had some Baptisms!

 This is how my week went!

Monday-P-day as always!

Tuesday- Taught one of our investigators and 

committed a family to baptism!

Wednesday- Had District meeting! Met some

 new Americans that don't speak any Portuguese!

Thursday- Tracting and a couple lessons

Friday-Walked until my legs fell off! 

Saturday-Taught some lessons, and finished teaching

 our family preparing them for baptism!!

Sunday- Baptizms of Joana and Valdemero

This week was good! It's so cool to finally have some baptisms! 

More importantly is so cool to watch how the gospel can change somebodys life!

 Joana is a Mom of 3 sons with no dad around to help out. 

It's pretty normal here for there to be no dad in the household.

 She lives in a little appartment with not much. It's cool to see how the gospel can change

 people in such little time! She's talked with the missionarys at least 2 times

 before we taught her but never had an intrest in the church. 

It's cool to see the hand of the Lord in the work. 

He prepares people so just at the right time they are ready to recieve the gospel.

 I know this is the work of the Lord and the only way it goes is forward! 

So if your not on the train you better jump on quick! 

So grateful for the opportunity I have to be here. It's the hardest thing I've ever done but its so worth it!!

 Love this Gospel!!

Week 13

Rainnnnnn

Hello friends!!! 
Hope you are all loving life, 
and more importantly having a spectacular day!!!

Just a little layout of my week for you all!

Monday-Transfers!! Stayed in my area 

Alvaro Wayne with my comp. Elder Vinicius

Tuesday-Rained allllll day

Wednesday-Had district meeting and got to teach

 two of our investigators

Thursday-Lots of tracting

Friday-More searching

Saturday- General Conference

Sunday- General Confrence

This week it rained all day everyday!! I love the rain!! 

It feels so good when it's not 1000000 degrees! 

I also hate the rain! This week we needed new investigators 

but we didnt have to much success which was a bummer. It's

 hard to find people when it rains, nobody 

is ever outside so you can't make contacts. On the Brighter side..

this week was General Conference!!!! Love it!! 

 I dont think I've ever been so excited for

 general conferance in my life!! 

All of saturday and sunday consisted of watching conference! 

Its so cool we have a prophet and apostles called of 

God to warn us dangers in life,  and recieve revalation of things that

 will help us in our lives!! Awesome!! 

We watched every session in Portuguese obviously, I didn't

 understand much but still was grateful for the opportunity to watch conference!

Love all of you!!

Week 12

Hello everyone!!!

 This week went by so fast holy cow!! Today we have trasfers!!! 
Crazy!! Im already going to be on my second transfer! 
YAY!! Now I won't be the youngest American in Brazil!! 

This week was good, and by golly it passed by so fast!! 

Monday- P-day 

Tuesday- Taught a lot of lessons, walked to the moon and back

 and talked to a really drunk man.

Wednesday- Went on splits with Elder Pimentel.

 Really good missionary and fun to be around

Thursday- Went to city center and got to talk to all sorts of people!

Friday- Lessons and Contacts

Saturday- Studied a lot and taught lessons

Sunday- Easter and Church!

This week was great! Filled with lots of hard work and sweat.. as always!

 Nothing too crazy happened this week just the normal,

 lots of lessons and lots of  Portugese, also found a lot of new investigators this week!

 Hopefully this next transfer we can baptize all of them!!

 This week was Easter so I got to see how the Brazilians do it! 

It actually wasn't much different, lots of chocolate and a

 good excuse for people to spend money.

 We got to go to city center this week which was fun! 

We were inviting people to a play about the life of Christ.

 It was cool being in the Center where everything happens! 

I felt like I got to see a lot more of the culture being down town!

 It's fun being here and it gets better and better everyday!

This week was Easter weekend! What a great thing that happened this weekend,

 about 2000 years ago! Jesus Christ rose from the grave to overcome death! 

We all have the chance to live again!

  Not just live again, but live with our families in the precense of God for all of eternity!

 What great news! All of this possible through the atonment of Jesus Christ.

 I thought about this a lot this week and how special it is that

 I have the opportunity to teach these things! 

I'm Graetful for the Savior and the way this gospel has changed my life!

 The opportunity I have to repent and be clean again,

 and all the joy this gospel brings in my life! 

What a great thing that happend on Sunday morning 2000 years ago!

What a crazy experiance getting to be here!
