May 30, 2016

Hey Everyone!!!
This week was great and we had two baptizms! YAAA!
It's the best when you get to see the change in people lives after they are baptized.
You can see it in their eyes. The gospel really does bring a happiness
that is found know where else.

This week we baptized Tatiane e Lutiane, a mom and daughter.
The dad has been less active for many years but they started
coming to church again and that is where we met them.
I talked a little about them in the last email I think but Tatiane
had a cool expierence she shared with us this week.
So last week they came to church, she talked about how she really wanted to know
if this church was true so she prayed.
The night she prayed she had a dream.
She said she was in a forest and a bright light started to appear above her
and a voice told her that this was the church to follow.
She said she woke up and couldn't sleep the rest of the night.
It was the next day when we taught her the Restoration.
When we showed her the picure of the first vision she new exactly what it was.
It was just like her dream.

I see miracles everyday out here in the mission field.
Grateful to be part of the work!

Love

May 23, 2016

Hey everyone! Hope lifes good!
Things always happening down here in Fortaleza!
This week was good!

I've been out in the field for 3 months already what the heck?!
Time really flys here its weird! This week we found some new investigators!
It's always great when you work hard because the Lord will deliver!
So last week we were in church and a family showed up.
We came to find out that the dad has been a member for many years
but was just inactive. He never talked about church or religion
with his wife and daughter.
Things happen in life and for some reason they decided to come to church.
That's when we met them. We set up a appointment to teach them on Saturday.
When we showed up and started talking to them
the first thing they asked was..
When can we get baptized?
I think me and my comp were a little confused because things like this never happen!
We taught them the Restoration and about Joseph Smith and invited them to pray..
But apperantly they did their research before we showed up.
They read almost all of 1 Nephi and prayed about the Book of Mormon
and if our Church is true. The lord prepares people in certain places at certain times.
 I don't have a doubt.
I know this church is true and God wants all of his children to live with him again.
So cool to see the work of the lord!

Love you all!!!!!!!!!!

Week 17 May 2, 2016

Hey Everyone!!! This week was great! I hope you guys had a
good week filled with happiness and joy!

This week was great filled with lots of hard work and sweat!!
Many peope may ask what the hardest part of a mission is?
The hardest part is keeping your shirts clean when you sweat so much!
No not really but it sure is challenging!
Every week I'm here I feel like it gets better and better.
The language gets easier and eaiser and you learn alot every day.
This week we taught alot of lessons, and I feel like I can actually
understand what's going on! It's great!

Today is transfers! I'm staying here in Alvero Wayne with my same companion!
I was hoping for the Amazon Forest, but maybe next transfer!

Just wanted to share a scripture that I liked alot! Isaiah 40.
I dont know the verses but it's like the last 4 verses of the chapter I think!
I Love this and it helpes me remember that we have to rely on the Lord.
You can't do anything great without the help of the Lord.
I know the Savior has helped me alot and I couldn't do anything without him.
He is my best friend here in the mission and I hope all of you feel the same.
Love this gospel and the happiness it brings to my life!
