This has been a crazy week!! I don't even know where to start! Well, I made it to Fortaleza and it is really hot here!! It never cools down and you are just dripping sweat 24/7! It also rains a lot here. There are always big puddles everywhere.
So I have a pretty cool companion his name is Elder Vinicuis. He is from Brazil and does't speak english at all. That goes with the two other Elders we live with. Its pretty hard right now and I've felt stressed because of the language. It's hard to talk to anyone when there's not a single person that can speak english within 20 miles. The people here speak so fast and it is a little different, so it is hard to understand. But the language takes time. I just have to be patient.
The members here are so nice though. They feed us lunch every day. The food is so good here, I don't think I could ever get tired of eating it. The people here are so humble. You can talk to anyone and anyone will let you in their house to share a message. I'm actually in a brand new area so me and my comp have a lot to do. He has only been in the field for 2 months so its pretty crazy that he is a trainer.
We had one investigator come to church and that was pretty cool. It makes you really happy when you see them at church. We also committed three people to baptism after the first lesson so hopefully we can teach them and get them baptized. It's crazy to think how blessed we are in the U.S. everyone here is so poor and has nothing, yet they are happy. I'm grateful for my chance to be here and to share the gospel with these people. The gospel can change lives. Always rely on the Lord and anything is possible. I know that. I wouldn't be able to do this by myself.
Love the lord and love this Gospel.
